Supporting Local Charities
We are a proud Manchester business fully committed to supporting and championing the amazing work local charities do to help the most vulnerable in our great city.
Our founding director John Stevenson is the trustee of local cancer care charity Beechwood. John’s focus is on working with the fundraising team to maximise event potential and raise the profile of Beechwood within the business community. He is instrumental in founding the annual Man@Manchester comedy luncheon, the event raised £218,450 in 2018. John was awarded an MBE in the New Years Honours list in 2020 for his work with cancer charities.
In 2020 our team supported the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity who provide bespoke support for families who have a child with a serious illness. Whilst we have had to adjust our planned fundraising activities to fit in with Covid-19 restrictions we still managed to raise over £1000 for this great charity.
Charity of the Year 2021
Our charity of the year 2021 chosen by Pareto employees is Beechwood Cancer Care who is also celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year.
Of the nomination, Beechwood said “Covid-19 has impacted us all in many ways, and for Beechwood, the importance of our services has become more apparent than ever. Our Centre has remained open for clients who prefer face-to-face appointments and we have introduced telephone counselling and online mindfulness sessions for our clients. Restrictions have also meant that none of our fundraising events have been able to take place, therefore your support has come at a vital time for Beechwood and we are very grateful.”
We have a fundraising calendar prepared, and although some of the activity is reliant on restrictions being lifted, we are looking forward to having fun and supporting this great charity.
