Charity Cycle
This summer, Bolton Businessman Andrew Crompton is undertaking the challenge of a lifetime by riding his bike thousands of miles from his hometown of Bolton to Melbourne, Australia.
I shall be joining him for the 330km cycle from Burgas (Bulgaria) on 24th September to Istanbul, where we expect to arrive on 29th September.
We are raising money for two great charities – Carers Trust and Bolton Lads and Girls Club.
Carers Trust is a major charity for, with and about carers. We work to improve support, services and recognition for anyone living with the challenges of caring, unpaid, for a family member or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or addiction problems. Our vision is that unpaid carers count and can access the help they need to live their lives.
Established in 1889, Bolton Lads & Girls Club (BLGC) is an innovative, dynamic, and progressive children and young peoples charity based in the Bolton. Open seven days a week, 51 weeks of the year, they provide a vast array of opportunities to improve the lives of 4,000 active members through universal open-access play, youth, and sport provision together with bespoke targeted services, supporting the most vulnerable, ranging from mental wellbeing support, bereavement services, to their young carers programme also.
Any support is greatly appreciated, you can donate via Andrew’s main Just Giving site below.
