Our charity of the year for 2023 has been Centrepoint, and we’ve had an amazing year raising funds for them.

The activities we did this year included:

  • Raffles
  • Charity Dragon Boat Challenge
  • Chase the Sun Tatton Park 10k
  • Trafford Palazzo 170ft Abseil
  • The Great Pareto Bake-Off
  • Pizza lunch
  • Christmas Jumper Day

We raised a total of just under £5k with the funds going to a great cause. Thank you to everyone who has participated, donated, or supported us along the way.

Speaking to Rosie Littlejohns from Centrepoint, she said:

“Thank you so much for making such a generous gift to support homeless young people.

Everybody deserves safety and stability, especially at Christmas time. But the sad reality is that, for many of the young people relying on Centrepoint, this year could be their first ever positive Christmas experience. Thanks to your support, we can give them a safe place to stay, away from the cold winter streets. They can have access to warm beds, psychotherapy support, and employability programmes. Such support makes a life-changing impact on those young people, and we can only provide it because of donations like yours.

One example of a life changed is Aimee’s. She refused to let her hardships define her and I’m so proud to say that she’s now thriving in a flat of her very own. From this warm and safe home, she plans on training to be a solicitor. It’s so inspiring to see how resilient young people like Aimee are. They just shine with untapped potential. Your support means Key Workers have the resources needed to make the most of that potential, and help them finally get their life on the right track. Your generous donation provides a young person with the ultimate gift you could give them this Christmas: an opportunity to rebuild their future.”
