Pareto Achieves Cyber Essentials Plus Certification Through CyberSmart

Pareto are thrilled to announce we’ve achieved the Cyber Essentials Plus Certification, building on our Cyber Essentials certification earned in 2024. This milestone demonstrates our unwavering dedication to safeguarding our digital infrastructure and protecting the sensitive information entrusted to us.

What Is Cyber Essentials Plus?

Cyber Essentials Plus is an advanced certification under the UK government-backed, industry-supported Cyber Essentials scheme. While the standard Cyber Essentials certification focuses on self-assessment of cybersecurity practices, Cyber Essentials Plus takes it a step further by requiring an independent, in-depth technical assessment of an organisation’s systems. This ensures that robust cybersecurity measures are not only in place but also verified by experts.

To achieve Cyber Essentials Plus certification, organisations must meet rigorous criteria in areas such as:

  • Securing Internet Connectivity
Ensuring firewalls and routers are configured effectively to prevent unauthorised access.
  • Controlling Access
Demonstrating strong password policies, user access controls, and role-based permissions.
  • Protecting Devices and Systems
Implementing measures such as regular software updates, anti-malware solutions, and endpoint protection.
  • Safe Configuration
Adhering to best practices for configuring hardware and software to minimise vulnerabilities.
  • Managing Software
Ensuring that only trusted applications are used, and all software is regularly updated and patched.

Achieving Cyber Essentials Plus confirms that our systems and processes have been thoroughly tested and meet these stringent standards, ensuring a high level of protection against common online threats.
