Our charity of the year for 2022 has been Manchester Mind, and what an incredible year we’ve had fundraising for them.

The activities we did this year included:

  • Raffles
  • Bonus Ball
  • Skydive
  • Manchester 10K
  • Bake Off
  • Yorkshire 3 Peaks
  • Pizza lunch
  • Christmas Jumper Day

We raised a total of over £8,500 with the funds going to some great causes. Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way.

Speaking to Joanna Huddart from Manchester mind, she said “Manchester Mind has supported the local community for over 33 years, and during the current cost of living crisis, we’ll continue to be there for anyone struggling with their mental health. As a local Mind association, we raise all our own funds each year. So every donation from our kind charity partner Pareto ensures our essential services remain available to all.

Four key projects benefit from your kind donations…

  • Children and Young Person’s Service (CYP): support for 15-25 year olds, including 1-1 counselling, virtual wellbeing café, “listening ear” sessions and welfare rights advice
  • Food for All: emergency food response for vulnerable families and isolated residents, including freshly cooked meals and essential items delivered directly to people’s doorstep, as well as cookery sessions, recipe bags, and volunteering opportunities at our green therapy community allotment/sensory garden
  • Peer Support Groups: based on the “give help, get help” ethos, we run three weekly groups for people aged 18+ with social outings and annual events
  • Advice Team: welfare rights and benefits support (ESA, PIP, Universal Credit), help with debt and housing, appeals and tribunals
